Introducing the New Family Member

I once had a sheltie and he was such a sweetheart. He was in so many ways, more like a human than a dog, a best friend than a family pet. It's unfortunate that he is no longer with us, but I still confide in him where he stays in my heart. Losing a loved one is hard to cope with, but I know that he will always be remembered.

That being said, my family got a new puppy recently, in hopes that we can provide another life with love and care. This schnauzer can be a lot to handle but I hope that he will mature into a happy, yet well trained dog in time. I'm counting on him to give my sister a lot of love and yes, a lot of mini surprises to clean up after while I'm away at college.

But for now, scroll down to see how his attitude has changed over the past few weeks!

Hi, my name is Jacky!
So, here we are at the pet shop. My sister is holding him while we were being told that his breed is very smart, friendly, and submissive. What a cute and innocent little puppy right?

Home at last! Little puppy needs his rest of course...

He eventually made it onto the couch.. for more rest...

and even more...

I guess sleeping on me is okay too...

Took over the pillows.

The "I could get away with anything muahahha look"

And what he meant by that of course, is taking over the bed...
BUT THATS NOT ALL!!

Family Day at Redondo Beach

It isn't all about the water and sand when my family goes to the beach. As you can see, we're here for the great food and the complementing beach breeze.

Okay, side note... I am deathly afraid of water and boats! But it was forced upon me, and I have to admit, paddling was so much fun!!!

We stopped by a nearby arcade and of course, my dad had to show off his shooting skills (although there was no prize aha but in all fairness, I wasn't shooting in the above photo.. it was just a photo op!)

No need to explain the above photo...
And finally, we ended the day with ice cream.. Of course, I had to get the cone instead of the cup. And of course, the wind came and the ice cream dripped everywhere.
life lesson: never get ice cream cones again..
